Spain but the S is Silent: Court of Charles V, 1530

This committee highlights the Court of Charles V or as he was known in Spain Charles I. Starting in the 1540’s Charles is aging and close to abdicating the throne, with numerous small conflicts between Catholics and Protestants across Europe discontent brewing, which could eventually lead to a religious war throughout the continent and beyond if nothing is done. Many are referring to Charles as the universal monarch with the sun never setting on the Spanish Empire. With colonies in Perú, Mexico, and holdings in the Netherlands, Austria, Iberia, Italy, Africa, and France. With the turbulent times that lie ahead will the Spanish empire continue to thrive or fall into irrelevancy.
