A LETTER FROM THE SECRETARY-GENERAL:
Dear delegates, sponsors, parents, and FIMUN attendees,
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 39th iteration of the Florida International Model United Nations Conference (FIMUN). We cannot wait to welcome you all to the sunny city of Miami and host you at our FIU Modesto A. Maidique Campus.
I am honored to serve as your Secretary-General for FIMUN 39! I am currently a junior majoring in Economics and Political Science and pursuing a certificate in Latin American Studies at FIU. If you have attended FIMUN before, you may have already received an email from me!
As the conference comes together, I am eager to see you all debate on important issues through resolutions, directives, similes, metaphors and allegories.
If there are any questions or issues you come across before, during, or even after FIMUN, I am happy to talk via email or even in-peOrson at FIMUN! I look forward to seeing competitiveness, excellence, but most importantly, fun and respect at FIMUN 39!

Dearest attendees,
My name is Isabel, and I have the honor to serve as your Director-General of FIMUN 39!
I am presently studying International Relations at FIU, with a focus on Religious Studies and a certificate in Middle Eastern Studies and Muslim World Affairs. This is my third year at FIU and in Model UN, but you may have seen me staffing around Florida (and outside of Florida!) high school conferences. I hope that FIMUN 39 is a place for you to not only find success, but grow into your most authentic and confident self!
So get ready. It's time to write a crisis note. It’s time to pass resolutions. It’s time to accidentally start international incidents in committee. Let’s rewrite history!
