The cyber domain has become a hub for innovation and accessibility, permeating day-to-day life. Growing dependence on technology and digital platforms, while making tasks more efficient,  has created an entirely new set of complex vulnerabilities. Threats have led governments to treat digital platforms as matters of national security. In that same vein, Lethal Autonomous Weapons Systems (LAWS) are one such platforms that employ AI and sensors to engage targets without requiring direct human intervention. LAWS are quickly becoming one of the most controversial topics of debate in the international community. In this committee, delegates will be charged with navigating the difficult task of weighing human rights alongside national interest and sovereignty to create a safer future for everyone.
