Bombs Dropped: Vault 37 Board of Designees

The committee starts in the year 2072. Tensions are higher than ever with the resources wars over oil. Canada has been annexed and there's even debates over a world-wide war. While project safehouse has been underway for 20 years now Vault 37 has yet to be finished. Vault-Tec has called all delegates forward to represent major corporations in the US to design Vault 37. Delegates are then posed with the question of whether they have more nefarious goals in running the vault using harsh experiments on the vaultdwellers. Once the vault is designed time skips to 2277 and delegates take place as ancestors of those who designed the vault and must deal with the circumstances they made.

Director
John Weaver

John Weaver is a second year at FIU studying Sports Management with plans to go to law school after graduation. While he is not a political science or international relations major like a lot of his fellow members on the FIUMUN team and in collegiate mun, John has found a lot of enjoyment in competing on the circuit in the nine conferences he has attended. John joined MUN because of his passion for public speaking and debate which was formed through his 7 years of speech and debate experience throughout high school and middle school and has utilized it throughout his two years on the FIUMUN team. However, outside of MUN, John has little actual interest in international affairs or politics in general but instead prefers to spend his time watching sports such as football(especially the Kansas City Chiefs). John looks forward to Directing the Vault 37 Board of Designees and seeing all of what the delegates bring.

Chair
Xavier Bauman

Xavier Bauman is a first-year Florida International University honors student majoring in International Relations on a pre-law professional track. Born and raised in Florida, he’s been a proud member of FIU’s Model UN Program since August 2024. Additionally, he serves as the Co-Director of the Pre-Law Advocates for Community Engagement and Service’s Event Coordination Committee. He has career aspirations within the legal sphere in the future, and is especially interested in international and constitutional law. When he’s not decomposing over a textbook, you can find Xavier reading about history and politics, consuming all types of horror and sci-fi content, or building strange structures in the woods. This is his first time chairing a committee, and he eagerly anticipates working with all the wonderful delegates of FIMUN 37!
