Ad-Hoc Committee
Chair
Virnia Aparicio Camacho
Virnia Aparicio Camacho is an English major and pre-law student from Lima, Peru. Currently, in her senior year, Virnia is passionate about using her background in English to pursue a career in law, focusing on family and immigration law. Outside of her academic pursuits, she loves discovering new music, binge-watching shows, and diving into true crime stories through Stephanie Soo’s Rotten Mango channel on YouTube. She is starting her journey of traveling and has already explored South Korea. She looks forward to visiting again next year. Virnia can’t wait to see what fun shenanigans this year's ad-hoc miscellaneous adventures will be during her time in-room!
Crisis Director
Mateo Padron
Mateo Padron is a second year student at Florida International University who has been in the Model UN program for two semesters now, going on his third! He plans to finish his two majors in Political Science and Philosophy and then move to the UK or some other European country to study law there. He hopes to one day make a difference in the political system of the country he resides in and aims to hold a seat within government in order to make a change in his community through changes to legislation. When he isn't doing MUN or in class or at his law office, you can find Mateo messing around with some useless project he's found to hyper fixate on. Whether it's writing a new poem, composing a random musical score, or building random trinkets for his own entertainment, you can always expect him to be doing something new! However, you will usually find him doing something MUN related which is why he's so very excited to direct his first committee with you all and will be sure to make it a memorable experience!
