Topic Summary
The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) will explore how to break the cycle of debt that continues to plague the Global South. Focused on fair economic reform, equal trade opportunities, and sustainable financing, UNCTAD will look at both urgent solutions for debt relief and long-term preventive measures for economic neocolonialism. In a world where global financial systems often favor wealthier countries, delegates will face the challenge of balancing fairness, practicality, and political realities. Will they push for bold change, careful reform, or create a completely new system?
This committee is a dual-delegate committee.
No position papers are required.
